Jeep’s powerful new electric bike, which it first teased during its Groundhog Day-themed Super Bowl ad, is now available for pre-order. But be warned: it’s not cheap.
The all-terrain electric mountain bike goes on sale in June 2020 for a wallet-busting price of $5,899. This puts Jeep at the top of e-bikes in terms of price, along with premium offerings from notable manufacturers like Specialized. and trek. It’s also a risky move, as you can get a really great electric bike for around $1,500. It’s listed as a Class 2 electric bike, which means it’s throttle-assisted with a top speed of 20 mph. And the 10-speed transmission should provide plenty of hill-climbing power.
