The new Smart ebike editions were presented to racing drivers at the DTM race at the Oschersleben motor stadium. The Smart brand presents for the first time three editions based on the smart ebike: the orange edition, the comfortable edition and the black edition. The three versions have exclusive colors, upgraded light features and very attractive prices.

The standard features have been clearly upgraded: suspension forks, comfort saddles and high handlebars make this edition of the smart ebike extremely comfortable to ride. A smart bicycle cart rack with an extender allows luggage to be transported comfortably. The Smart ebike comfort edition with its extensive accessory package will go on sale in June at a price of 2,899 euros. Priced at €2,899, the most striking feature of the edition is the exclusive color: it contrasts with a matte black frame with flame orange trim and a black/flame orange saddle.

Quality components guarantee a dynamic, safe and fun bike. For example, Magura hydraulic disc brakes are fitted front and rear. Standard features also include LED daytime running lights and 26-inch wheels, both in smart e-bike design. The electric bike is equipped with Continental EcoContact Plus tires. Thanks to the additional reinforcement, they are particularly resistant to punctures. The distance is also very high quality, with a completely maintenance-free and oil-free carbon toothed belt instead of a normal bicycle chain.
The high technological standards of smart are also reflected in the package of efficient and high-performance units. As a Pedelec (Pedal Electric Cycle), the smart ebike is strictly a hybrid vehicle: the electric motor – the maintenance-free engine behind the BionX’s rear wheels – turns on as soon as the rider starts pedaling, just like with a regular bike. Muscle power is transferred to the rear wheel via a lubricant-free, durable and quiet belt. A three-speed integrated gear hub allows for easy gear shifting.
The driver of the smart electric bike chooses assistance from the electric motor to muscle power assistance at the push of a button on the handlebars. There are four power levels to choose from, with the fourth level providing maximum thrust. Depending on the power level chosen and the way of riding, the battery charge can last up to 100 kilometers.
